Purpose:
To show the differences between the density of salt and fresh water.
Materials:
Raw Eggs
3 Tablespoons of Salt
2 Tall Glass Cups
Water
Method:
1. Make salt water by dissolving salt in a cup of water.
2. Put fresh water in another cup.
3. Put 1 egg in the cup of fresh water.
4. Put the other egg in the cup of salt water.
Result:
The egg in the cup of fresh water sinks to the bottom of the cup.
The egg in the cup of salt water floats.
Conclusion:
Salt water is of higher density than fresh water.
